Lavandula angustifolia
Lavandula angustifolia is perhaps the most valued species of lavender for it's multitude of uses. They are by far the best for culinary purposes and make some of the highest quality oils. The flowers come in different shades of purple, pink or white and the shrubs typically have a more compact growth habit compared to L × intermedia and L × chaytorae which is often ideal for landscaping. Like all lavender, they are highly pest and deer resistant as well as drought tolerant once established.
