Vitex agnus-castus (Chaste Tree)
Also known as monk's pepper. A small deciduous tree that blooms massive clusters of fragrant lilac flowers in spring. It is an excellent pollinator plant and often ranks in lists and articles of "top 10 bee plants" published by all sorts of reputable and unreputable sources alike. It has many uses in traditional medicine and is both deer resistant and drought tolerant once established. We offer a pink-flowered form as well as a blue-flowered form.
Requirements: Full Sun to Partial Shade. Very tolerant of drought and unfussy about soil type.
