Allium schoenoprasum (Chives)
A culinary herb with a very mild onion flavor popular in soups, omelettes, salads, potato dishes and much more. They bloom edible star-like purple-pink flowers (some uncommon forms have white flowers) from late spring to early fall that can be used to make a chive blossom vinegar. Perennial.

Allium tuberosum (Garlic Chives)
Also known as Chinese chives and distinguished by their flat leaves and white flowers (though some more uncommon forms of A. schoenoprasum do have white flowers). Garlic chives unsurprisingly have a mild garlic flavor and can be used for all of the same applications as "normal" chives including in chive blossom vinegar. Perennial.
