Viola labradorica (Labrador Violet)

A low-growing perennial groundcover with heart shaped purple-green foliage that spreads via creeping stems and seeds. Prolific blooms of purple flowers in spring. Very low maintenance and tolerant of most any soil type. Grows particularly well under trees and shrubs. 

Requirements: Full to part shade. Drought tolerant.
