Podophyllum pleianthum (Chinese Mayapple)

Large glossy leaves up to 18 in. across and spring blooms of cherry-red fruits (very poisonous). Forms a slow-spreading colony over time. Winter dormant and hardy to well below 0 F. Deer resistant.

Requirements: Partial to full shade.
