Description: perennial; a dense, quick-spreading groundcover for shady areas. Dried leaves smell slightly of vanilla Abundant, tiny white blossoms in spring. Famously used in the making of Maiwein (May Wine) and also popular in potpourri and in sachets as an insect repellent. Leaves, roots, and stems can be used to make natural dyes.
