Description: evergreen shrub; vigorous, rounded growth with narrow, gray-green foliage. Red-orange flowers bloom sporadically throughout the year but are most abundant in spring.

Height: to 8 ft. Spread: to 8 ft.

Position: full sun and well-draining soil

Uses: ornamental, to attract pollinators

Winter Hardiness: to 15 F and below

Care: no special care needed, Grevillea is part of the Proteaceae family and have specialized roots that absorb micro-nutrients from the soil. In general, fertilizer should be avoided; phosphorous is especially toxic to Grevillea.

Care: introduced by Western Hills Nursery of California and named for one of its cofounders; it was found as a seedling and thought to be a hybrid of G. victoriae.
