Description: found as a seedling by Dave West and introduced in 1995. A bright, cheery form with leaves that flush golden in warmer weather. A vigorous, semi-evergreen vine that excels at covering fences, trellises and/or ugly poles and objects. Abundant blooms of sweetly fragrant white flowers throughout the summer followed by small black berries. 


Height: to 15 ft. Spread: to 10 ft.


Position: full sun to partial shade and well-draining soil


Uses: medicine, culinary- drinks, desserts, ornamental

Drought: adapted to 3 months of summer drought
