Lavandula angustifolia 'Elizabeth'

Description: evergreen shrub; either a sport or a seedling of a field cultivar ('G4') in the 1990s at the Jersey Lavender Farm and was named after Elizabeth Christie, a retired owner. Noted to have paler calyces than 'Hidcote' and longer, fatter flower spikes. Upswept growth and fragrant, long, dark violet flower spikes on mid-length stems. A favorite for both fresh and dried bouquets.

Calyx: dark violet with a bit of sage green at the base
