Lobelia laxiflora var. angustifolia

Description: perennial; a species native to Arizona and Mexico where it is commonly found growing under oaks and poplars. Grows quickly into a dense clump and blooms copious amounts of tubular red and yellow flowers in spring and summer that are literally irresistible to hummingbirds. Tolerates full sun with supplemental water but performs best with morning sun and afternoon shade.
