Description: evergreen shrub; purple-pink bell flowers light up the garden in early spring and beckon hummingbirds from neighborhoods away. Foliage is aromatic when bruised and is said to have been used in traditional medicine in Australia. It has also been referred to as wild oregano in some regions of Australia and is used as a substitute.
