Description: perennial; allegedly a named form of S. bellum but hard to believe being that it is completely sterile and will not set copious amounts of seed like the species. Sky blue flowers bloom on and off throughout the summer

Position: full sun and well-draining soil


Uses: ornamental- in rock gardens, containers or the front of a border


Winter Hardiness: to 10 F and below
