Description: perennial; a species not known to exist in the wild; originally found and described in a garden near Beijing, China in 1909. A slow-growing, deciduous shrub with compact foliage and fragrant flower clusters in late spring.

Position: full sun to partial shade and well-draining soil


Uses: ornamental- as a specimen plant or informal hedge and to attract pollinators
