Chrysojasminum humile 'Revolutum'


Common name(s): Himalayan jasmine


Description: semi-evergreen shrub; a cultivar that dates back to at least 1817 and possibly earlier. Larger than the species in leaves, flowers, and eventual size with a more stiff, upright growth habit that is less prone to scramble. A free-standing shrub that will remain evergreen in all but the severest of winters. Large, slightly fragrant, yellow flowers in spring and sporadically throughout the summer and into autumn. Tolerates partial shade and heavy soil.

Chrysojasminum humile 'Sunshine'


Common name(s): Himalayan jasmine


Description: semi-evergreen shrub; an introduction by Xera Plants Inc. of Portland selected from seed. More floriferous, smaller-leaved, and more fragrant than the common form of J. humile. A free-standing shrub that will retain its dark green foliage in all but the most severe winters. Prolific blooms of bright yellow flowers in late spring and sporadically throughout summer and into autumn. Tolerates partial shade, heavy pruning and heavy soil.

Description: semi-evergreen shrub; a species endemic to North India with mildly fragrant, lemon-yellow flowers and a diminutive, spreading growth habit. An excellent shrub jasmine to brighten up the rockery or containers.
